The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area daily.
